Tier-1 employer and metro location increase competition, but highly specialized embedded validation skillset narrows the pool.
Highly specialized SoC, low-level firmware, and silicon-validation skills limit cross-industry transferability.
Explicit 6-10 years plus extensive mandatory low-level SoC and embedded framework expertise.
Architect and develop scalable embedded software frameworks and validation infrastructure for pre- and post-silicon SoC validation.
Drive software architecture for portability, scalability, maintainability across multiple SoC programs and IP validation domains.
Lead development and optimization of validation, regression, and release workflows including integration with CI environments for productivity and quality improvement.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
6+ to 10 years of industry experience in Embedded Software, System Software, SoC Validation, Silicon Enablement, or related domains.
Proven expertise in embedded software architecture, framework development, low-level software design, and debugging complex hardware-software integrated systems.
Strong skills in C, C++, Assembly, system-level debug, and knowledge of ARMv8/v9, x86, PowerPC architectures.
Experienced in designing and maintaining embedded software frameworks used across multiple engineering teams and SoC programs.
Skilled in debugging complex multicore, multiprocessor, heterogeneous SoC environments involving hardware, firmware, OS, and system infrastructure.
Experienced with silicon bring-up, pre-silicon emulation, FPGA prototyping, post-silicon validation, CI/CD systems, and automation in large scale embedded software projects.
