About This Role
- Design and manage web routing infrastructure including secure redirects and domain mapping systems to ensure seamless, low-latency traffic flow without disruption.
- Safely refactor and update legacy codebases and deployment configurations with zero downtime while maintaining clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network routing issues such as redirection loops and DNS related errors to optimize user experience and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant technical experience in web infrastructure, backend engineering, or systems operations.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern web architecture including HTTP lifecycle, client-server models, DNS management, and CDNs.
- Strong backend engineering skills with expertise in HTTP site headers, routing protocols, HTTP status codes, and proxy configuration.
- Strong knowledge of DNS including configuring A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, MX, NS records and domain registrar management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in architecting and executing complex web redirect strategies and routing rules in production environments.
- Proficient in maintaining and safely updating legacy systems and infrastructure components without production downtime.
- Capable of diagnosing and resolving intricate routing and network issues involving DNS propagation, SSL/TLS errors, and certificate mismatches.
