About This Role
- Own design and execution of large-scale data migration from Mainframe to Azure Cloud PaaS ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Build, optimize, and support scalable and secure Azure data pipelines using services like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage.
- Collaborate with architects and business teams to implement cloud-native data architectures, enforce governance, and support operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with at least 3 years hands-on Azure Cloud experience.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage Gen2.
- Experience with large-scale data migration or modernization projects from legacy systems to Azure.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in cloud-native data architectures and enterprise-scale Azure environments focused on performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Skilled in collaborating across cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and application teams during modernization initiatives.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT pipeline development, cloud security governance, and CI/CD DevOps practices.
