About This Role
- Lead comprehensive market and landscape analysis of Multi-Village Systems (MVS) and electrochlorinator (EC) technologies across rural India, focusing on Evidence Action's priority states (AP, Bihar, Odisha, Rajasthan).
- Deliver actionable recommendations on feasibility, scale-up pathways, and strategic opportunities for ECs and other water treatment solutions in rural MVS contexts.
- Produce detailed assessments on technical, operational, financial, and institutional conditions for rural water chlorination interventions to guide organizational investment decisions.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in strategy, market shaping, or management consulting.
- Experience assessing water-treatment technologies including technical fit, cost, and maintenance; chlorination/EC experience preferred.
- Strong credibility and relationships with Indian government and WASH sector stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in India; consultancy engagement for 6 months with possible extension.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced consultant with deep strategic and technical knowledge of water/WASH sector and rural water systems.
- Skilled in integrating complex technical analyses and market research into clear, evidence-based recommendations for senior decision makers.
