Strong brand and metro location plus mid-level experience, but niche controls specialization limits broad applicant competition.
Role requires deep semiconductor process controls and mechatronics expertise, making cross-industry transferability low.
Explicit 5–8 year requirement and mandatory controls, MATLAB/Simulink, and semiconductor domain skills drive strict filtering.
Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for semiconductor equipment temperature, pressure, flow, and vacuum systems.
Perform system identification and develop dynamic control models for thermal, fluid, and gas delivery systems to optimize PID, cascade, feedforward, and advanced control strategies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize process control system performance, including diagnostics and predictive maintenance.
5-8 years of experience in process controls, automation, instrumentation, or semiconductor equipment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent tools for control system design and data analysis.
Experience with temperature controllers, pressure controllers, MFCs, control valves, vacuum systems, and process instrumentation relevant to semiconductor equipment.
Experienced in advanced control strategies including PID, Model Based Controls, and system identification within semiconductor or advanced industrial automation contexts.
Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills working alongside mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineering teams in complex equipment environments.
Capable of handling dynamic system modeling, real-time control software development, and implementing AI-enabled control and predictive maintenance solutions.
