About This Role
- Own end-to-end integration of Caterpillar ECMs, Displays, and third-party components into machine electronics architecture across off-highway and tracked machines.
- Define system architecture, technical specifications, and integration strategies including communication protocols for machine application features.
- Lead system validation (HIL/SIL), factory support, and field issue resolution ensuring reliable, high-quality machine electronics systems on schedule.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in electronics/controls system design, integration, or validation for automotive, off-highway, or industrial machine products.
- Strong foundation in electrical and electronic components and control systems; working knowledge of CAN/J1939 and Ethernet TCP/IP protocols.
- Ability to author clear technical specifications and requirements documentation; good understanding of diagnostics and troubleshooting methodologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience with HIL/SIL validation tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink) and version control tools (GIT/SVN, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with machine-level design, Caterpillar-specific processes, and quality practices including BIQ and FMEA.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with global teams and factory/field support; has project leadership or Agile/Scrum experience.
