Moderate competition due to strong employer brand and metro location but niche LabVIEW/TestStand specialization.
High because expertise in LabVIEW/TestStand, PXI hardware, and automotive CAN/LIN is industry-specific and less transferable.
High due to explicit five-year requirement and mandatory LabVIEW/TestStand, PXI, and automotive protocol expertise.
Review circuit board designs to ensure testability requirements are met and develop/optimize test systems using LabVIEW and TestStand.
Conduct failure analysis, debug test equipment, minimize downtime, and analyze test data to improve product reliability and performance.
Coordinate engineering activities for development, installation, calibration of test instruments, and oversee test operations including RF and vision system testing.
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer in EMS electronic manufacturing.
Advanced knowledge in LabVIEW, TestStand, C++, and experience with PXI controllers, PCI, RF testing, and vision systems like Cognex and Banner.
Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and ability to interpret electronic circuit schematics.
Proven expertise in developing and maintaining automated test systems in an electronics manufacturing environment with multi-disciplinary coordination.
Strong technical skills in both hardware troubleshooting (PXI, PCI, circuit analysis) and software development (LabVIEW, TestStand, C++).
Experience working with cross-functional teams to optimize test conditions and improve product quality through data-driven insights.
