About This Role
- Lead modernization of mainframe systems focusing on interface, code, performance, cost, and maintainability improvements.
- Drive operational efficiency in agile delivery through process innovation and promoting DevOps culture.
- Contribute to technology strategy, adopt new tools and processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide leadership with minimal supervision.
Minimum Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in software engineering with mainframe exposure.
- Proficiency in Groovy scripting and experience with CI/CD tools like XLR/Digital.ai, UCD, Jenkins, GitHub.
- Experience with mainframe technologies (JCL, REXX, Batch Jobs, IDZ tools) and knowledge of Dependency-Based Builds (DBB).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in integrating mainframe modernization efforts within hybrid cloud strategies involving REST APIs and Z applications.
- Capable of working independently while leading initiatives with minimal supervision in a DevOps-focused agile environment.
- Strong hands-on technical skills with automation scripting and CI/CD pipeline configuration, combined with troubleshooting across multiple tools.
