About This Role
- Lead engineering decision-making and execution for assigned backend insurance systems, ensuring production system hygiene and high service quality.
- Own end-to-end accountability for the business health of the backend insurance products managed by the team, collaborating with business, product, operations, and vendor stakeholders.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team while driving engineering best practices and architecture design.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in engineering leadership/management roles.
- BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed backend systems.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex technical information clearly to varied audiences.

- Experienced in fast-paced or startup environments with the ability to balance technical leadership and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to architect complex backend subsystems collaboratively with senior engineers.
