About This Role
- Owns and leads delivery of front-to-back workflow solutions for Commodities Systematic Trading, coordinating with global desk/product stakeholders and partnering with Sales/Trading and Functional leads to improve trade lifecycle processes.
- Leads implementation and orchestration of core ecosystem integrations (execution, booking, pricing, risk/P&L, reporting) ensuring usability, resilience, performance, and operational robustness with strong contract discipline.
- Builds and mentors a high-performing India-based team, sets engineering and operational standards including AI-assisted SDLC automation, manages cross-team dependencies, release coordination, incident resolution, and drives measurable delivery and quality improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of applied Software Engineering experience with formal training or certification in Software Engineering concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Python is mandatory; ability to ramp quickly within a Python-based stack if needed.
- Proven experience in delivery leadership, managing multi-stream execution and dependencies across distributed teams.
- Experience partnering directly with Front Office/Trading desks and managing stakeholder communications across geographies and seniority levels.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced software engineer with deep understanding of front-office trading workflows and systematic/quant commodities trading environment.
- Demonstrated technical leadership with proven ability to independently drive ambiguous problems to production outcomes and to coach/mentor teams on engineering standards and secure AI-assisted delivery practices.
- Skilled at managing complex cross-team integrations, driving release quality and operational excellence, with experience using or leading adoption of AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI governance.
