About This Role
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new semiconductor equipment products.
- Implement new customer requirements and maintain existing codebase with clear documentation and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; may involve less than 10% travel to customer sites for support.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience; or PhD with no professional experience, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Software design and programming including Design Patterns and Finite State Machines.
- Experience with multithreading and preemptive thread scheduling.
- Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in semiconductor equipment software development, preferably with prior semiconductor equipment exposure.
- Skilled in embedded distributed control systems and software development in C++ or C#.
- Capable of providing technical leadership and working effectively within centralized and cross-functional software engineering teams.
