About This Role
- Design and implement test strategies and automation for advanced optical DWDM equipment and protocols such as OTN and GBE, focusing on system security.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans to validate carrier-grade product features and performance, enabling continuous testing and faster releases.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and architecture teams to review requirements, validate test plans, and deliver detailed quality assessments and defect tracking.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CSE, EEE, or ECE.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in testing and automation within optical network systems.
- Hands-on experience with SONET/SDH/OTN/DWDM systems including ROADM and optical amplifier line cards.
- Proficiency in test equipment usage (test sets, optical spectrum analyzers) and programming/scripting skills in Python, Perl, or equivalent.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in system testing across multiple product releases ensuring consistent quality and adherence to standards.
- Strong background in optical network product testing including FCAPS, provisioning, configuration, and protection schemes.
- Ability to deliver independent quality insights and collaborate cross-functionally on complex optical networking hardware and software.
