Specialist EHS audit skills and sector exposure create strong domain bias and low transferability.
Explicit 10+ years, mandatory EHS audit leadership experience, and preferred certifications increase shortlisting rigor.
Lead and plan discrete environmental, health, safety (EHS), and regulatory compliance audits or significant audit workstreams, defining scope, criteria, and risk-based sampling.
Direct fieldwork and evidence gathering, evaluate findings, and develop factual, defensible audit conclusions and opinion inputs.
Mentor and develop junior audit team members, contribute to audit knowledge management and support business development activities.
10+ years progressive experience in environmental, EHS, and regulatory compliance consulting projects with leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
Subject-matter expertise and experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or similar management system audit standards.
Degree, master's or PhD in environmental science, engineering, EHS, sustainability, or related discipline.
Professional certifications such as ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor, ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA), or equivalent preferred.
Experienced in leading complex audits and management system assessments in high-hazard sectors (e.g., mining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation).
