About This Role
- Manage and support a large-scale enterprise Linux server environment spanning on-premises data centers, private cloud (VMware/KVM), and public cloud.
- Engineer and administer enterprise Linux distributions at scale (1,000+ nodes) ensuring high availability and performance.
- Automate system tasks using advanced Bash and Python scripting; troubleshoot OS and application issues including kernel crash analysis and optimization for large enterprise applications.
Minimum Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in enterprise Linux systems engineering/administration.
- Hands-on expertise with RHEL, SUSE, or Ubuntu distributions across large-scale environments (1,000+ nodes).
- Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation.
- Deep knowledge of Linux storage (LVM, multipathing, SAN/NAS), virtualization (VMware vSphere, KVM, Nutanix AHV), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, firewall), and high-availability clusters.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in multi-environment Linux infrastructure management including on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Skilled in advanced troubleshooting and optimization of Linux OS for enterprise applications like Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, SAP, or web services.
- Comfortable working with hardware operations, firmware management, and centralized management/monitoring tools in large-scale enterprise settings.
