About This Role
- Advance reliability, scalability, performance, and security of Crunchyroll's consumer-facing data platforms within the Center for Data & Insights in India.
- Drive initiatives across observability, incident management, automation, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and operational excellence with measurable outcomes like SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Lead SecOps practices including vulnerability management, penetration testing, cloud and Kubernetes security, ensuring operational readiness for emerging threats.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying, operating, and troubleshooting cloud-native applications at scale.
- Proven Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, preferably with Terraform.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals, and programming/scripting languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Shell.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior-level SRE or Platform Engineer with a track record of scaling production-critical distributed systems; experience indicates leadership in complex, high-availability environments.
- Expertise in cloud-native and containerized infrastructures with demonstrated success implementing security best practices in cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD contexts.
- Operates cross-functionally, capable of influencing multiple teams and embedding operational excellence and security practices into engineering workflows.
