About This Role
- Own and ensure 24/7/365 availability and performance tuning of database infrastructure across on-premises and cloud (AWS) environments.
- Design, deploy, and maintain fault-tolerant, distributed, highly available database architectures supporting Disney Experiences technology solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and lead small initiatives improving system performance, resiliency, and availability.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in database administration or related technical roles.
- Proficiency managing relational and NoSQL databases, including Amazon RDS or similar cloud DBaaS platforms; strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Experience running, deploying, and maintaining production systems on AWS with focus on high availability.

- Experienced in designing and supporting high-availability, fault-tolerant database infrastructures including both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Capable independent problem-solver who can work with minimal guidance and lead small technical projects.
- Strong communicator and mentor comfortable interfacing with engineering teams and guiding junior DBAs.
