About This Role
- Lead software implementation for embedded brake systems and other related rail products, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, verification, and process control.
- Plan and coordinate software development activities across project platforms, ensuring adherence to coding practices and reporting progress or delays to leadership.
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, system integrators, test engineers, and customers; support design verification/validation on-site domestically and internationally.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or Electronics Engineering.
- 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded real-time software design and development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in C programming, bare metal programming, Git, and familiarity with various IDEs.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally; availability to support on-vehicle testing during brake commissioning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded systems software development with strong debugging, release control, and verification capabilities in safety-critical rail domain.
- Comfortable leading software development teams with project planning, coordination, and enforcing coding standards.
- Capable of engaging with cross-disciplinary teams and customers for design validation and system integration, including participation in on-site validation activities.
