VP, Senior Data Engineering Manager (L14)

Lead and manage a high-performing data engineering organization to design, build, and scale enterprise data pipelines and products enabling AI, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

Drive and oversee Synchrony’s cloud data migration and modernization efforts to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based data solutions.

Coach and develop a diverse technical team, setting standards for data engineering excellence, quality, security, compliance, and agile delivery across multiple projects.

Bachelor's Degree with minimum 12 years IT experience OR no degree with minimum 14 years IT experience.

At least 9 years leading data engineering delivery for enterprise-scale data platforms, pipelines, or analytic products.

Minimum 5 years experience with public cloud data engineering, and at least 7 years in a large complex organization.

Must be flexible to work overlapping hours between 06:00 AM and 11:30 AM Eastern Time (India-US time overlap).

Experienced hands-on technical leader with proven multi-year cloud data transformation and migration execution expertise, preferably with AWS and related cloud tools.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, high-visibility technology programs aligned to business strategies in a regulated industry such as financial services or banking.

Strong capability in setting technical vision, driving engineering excellence, and managing delivery using agile methodologies in large matrixed organizations.
