About This Role
- Own Linux/Unix system administration focusing on reliability and performance of PhonePe's fintech infrastructure.
- Maintain network configurations and security using IP, iptables, and IPsec to ensure always-up, always-available services.
- Implement automation and configuration management using tools like SaltStack; participate in on-call rotations.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 to 4 years experience in Linux/Unix administration and networking.
- Proficient in Linux networking concepts including IP, iptables, IPsec.
- Experience with MySQL databases; familiarity with Mariadb or Percona is a plus.
- Scripting skills in Perl, Python, or Golang; experience with automation tools like SaltStack; hands-on with private cloud environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Practical expertise in operating and securing Linux-based fintech services at scale.
- Experience managing cloud and private cloud infrastructures with open source technologies.
- Ability to work in a high-availability, always-on environment with operational discipline and on-call responsibilities.
