About This Role
- Maintain reliability and performance of PhonePe’s Linux/Unix-based fintech infrastructure ensuring always-up, always-available services.
- Own Linux networking tasks including configuration of IP, iptables, and IPsec to support robust network operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations, apply automation and configuration management tools like SaltStack, and manage MySQL/MariaDB environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Linux/Unix administration with strong networking knowledge.
- Proficient in Linux networking technologies including IP, iptables, and IPsec.
- Experience with MySQL databases; MariaDB or Percona knowledge is advantageous.
- Familiarity with automation/configuration management tools such as SaltStack and scripting in Perl, Python, or Golang.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with maintaining large-scale, production-grade Linux infrastructure in private cloud environments with automation focus.
- Comfortable handling networking, database, and on-call responsibilities in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud services, container orchestration, and advanced Linux system engineering concepts.
