Mid-level DevOps role with common GCP/Kubernetes skills in a metro location, driving high competition.
GCP-specific platform experience limits cross-industry transferability despite transferable DevOps fundamentals.
Explicit 5–8 years plus mandatory GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes requirements increase shortlisting strictness.
Design and build secure, scalable, production-ready Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and landing zones from scratch, covering multiple projects and environments (dev, test, staging, production).
Own GCP cloud foundations including infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, networking (VPCs, routing, firewalls, VPN), security (IAM, encryption, governance), and operational readiness (monitoring, incident response, backups, disaster recovery).
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Argo CD, and manage containerized workloads on GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and managed database services.
5–8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
Strong practical experience with GCP production environments, including infrastructure, networking, security, and governance.
Proficiency with Terraform, Git, Linux, scripting (Python, Bash or similar), Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, and container orchestration.
Experience implementing monitoring and logging using Google Cloud Operations Suite or similar tools.
Experienced GCP cloud engineer with full lifecycle ownership of cloud infrastructure design and operations across multi-environment architectures.
Hands-on expertise in Terraform-based infrastructure as code combined with deep knowledge of cloud networking, security, and governance on GCP.
Skilled in implementing robust CI/CD pipelines and operational practices including monitoring, alerting, incident management, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
