About This Role
- Configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems using Yocto Project, including development of new Yocto layers and recipes.
- Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions, and troubleshoot build failures with guidance to users and collaboration with CI/Build teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize GitLab CI/CD workflows and build processes, including triaging issues and optimizing build times.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in build and integration engineering using Yocto Project.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong experience with Yocto Project including writing recipes, layers, and image customization within CI environment.
- Work from office 5 days a week as per requirement; knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and version control systems (Git) mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded Linux build systems focusing on automotive infotainment or similar embedded domains.
- Skilled in scripting languages (Python, shell), C programming, and build automation tools like make, menuconfig, and kernel patching.
- Comfortable working in collaborative DevOps environments optimizing continuous integration and delivery pipelines with third-party tools like Jfrog and Artifactory.
