Strong employer brand, mid-level generalist title, metro location, and broad qualifications drive high competition.
Role requires niche hardware-software, HIL, and post-silicon skills, making cross-industry transferability low.
Explicit 5+ years plus mandatory modern C++ and systems testing/hardware skills enforce strict shortlisting.
Design, build, and maintain high-performance C++ software and runtime components for custom silicon and compute platforms.
Develop and scale Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) automation harnesses, regression frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines for system qualification and reliability across multiple hardware revisions.
Troubleshoot software-to-hardware communication issues, optimize software performance, and collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, compiler, and vehicle platform teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
5+ years of industry experience in software engineering or related roles.
Strong proficiency in modern C++ with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and modular architecture.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments, scripting (Python/Bash), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging complex software/system issues.
Experienced in systems software design and scalable test automation frameworks, particularly in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and embedded test environments or compiler/runtime performance optimization.
Comfortable working across hardware and software boundaries, including hardware-software interfacing and system-level debugging.
Able to partner with cross-disciplinary teams including hardware design, silicon validation, and compiler engineering to deliver production-grade software solutions.
