About This Role
- Own end-to-end data validation and migration from on-premises Teradata to GCP BigQuery for a wholesale banking data mart.
- Develop and execute data validation scripts using Python and SQL to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and parity with source data.
- Optimize BigQuery performance for analytical workloads and support post-migration validation and production sign-off.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong expertise in Google BigQuery and SQL, with advanced query optimization skills.
- Experience with RDBMS platforms, preferably Teradata, and cloud migration projects for data validation and reconciliation.
- Bachelor’s degree in BE/MBA/BCA/MCA or equivalent.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in banking domain or regulatory/financial reporting environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrates strong data analytical skills and hands-on experience with data warehousing and performance tuning.
- Capable of handling large-scale data modernization involving validation, migration, and reconciliation in cloud and on-prem environments.
