Tier-1 employer, popular SRE role, metro location, and mid-seniority attract many qualified applicants.
Core SRE skills transfer across industries, but Disney-specific guest-experience systems add some domain specificity.
Explicit 7+ years plus mandatory cloud, IaC, Kubernetes, observability, and programming requirements enforce strict filters.
Lead architecture, design, and scalability of secure cloud-native and container-based infrastructures supporting critical, guest-facing applications across Disney Experiences.
Own SRE strategies including defining SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, driving uptime/performance improvements, incident leadership, and root cause analysis for distributed systems.
Mentor engineers, guide DevOps/SRE practices integration (CI/CD, observability, automation), and lead moderate complexity projects focused on reliability and cost optimization.
7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles focused on large-scale, distributed, cloud-based systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef).
Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, NodeJS, Golang, Bash, etc.), UNIX/Linux administration, and experience implementing observability (SLIs/SLOs/SLAs) with APM/logging tools.
Experienced leader capable of technical mentorship and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority, managing reliability projects in agile environments.
Strong background in designing and operating hybrid cloud and containerized infrastructures with deep knowledge of networking, distributed systems, and database platforms relevant to large-scale enterprise systems.
Comfortable handling operational incidents, applying FinOps principles for cost-performance balance, and driving continuous reliability improvements using automation and observability data.
