About This Role
- Own design and implementation of Esko's AI platform knowledge and reasoning capabilities, including knowledge representation, ingestion, retrieval, and versioning.
- Develop and operate APIs and tools enabling AI agents and validators to apply and explain contextual knowledge with strict tenant isolation and reliability.
- Collaborate with domain experts and product teams to transform expert knowledge into structured, testable, and versioned knowledge bases ensuring regulatory and customer-specific compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years software engineering experience, preferably with platform or shared-services ownership.
- Proficient in Python, TypeScript, Java, or similar languages used for production systems.
- Experience building knowledge, retrieval, or rule-based systems with judgment in formalism selection (schemas, rules engines, graphs, etc.).
- Undergraduate or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, or related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building multi-tenant, secure, high-availability SaaS platforms integrating complex domain knowledge.
- Skilled in balancing platform-level objectives with needs of multiple domain engineering teams in regulated or high-accountability environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, legal tech).
- Strong understanding of semantic, symbolic tooling (RDF/OWL, SHACL, Datalog, etc.) and practical knowledge reasoning challenges including handling ambiguity, conflicts, and escalation.
