About This Role
- Own and evolve scalable, framework-agnostic architecture for GE HealthCare's Ethos Design System, powering UI across 100+ products.
- Define and enforce architectural standards for adapters, public APIs, backwards compatibility, versioning, and migration strategies.
- Lead quality and performance engineering efforts, establishing testing standards, performance metrics, and prioritize technical debt in a cross-team environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 10–14 years of front-end/UI engineering experience with proven enterprise-scale UI architecture or large design systems ownership.
- 6+ years partnering with UX, Product, and Design teams to deliver scalable architecture across products.
- Strong expertise in React, Angular, TypeScript, Web Components, HTML, CSS, and multi-framework design principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or STEM field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in strategic architectural ownership beyond component development, focused on platform scale and governance.
- Skilled at cross-functional collaboration including leadership, product, UX, QA, and DevOps to drive adoption and architectural alignment.
- Practices evidence-based architecture decision-making and applies AI-assisted engineering methods to improve productivity and code quality.
