About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Appium-based test automation frameworks for Android and iOS mobile applications.
- Own end-to-end test strategy including both functional and exhaustive non-functional requirements (NFR) testing such as performance, stability, battery consumption, memory/CPU profiling, network simulation, and security.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams for root-cause analysis, quality metric tracking, and continuous quality improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience in software testing with significant recent focus on mobile application testing (Android and/or iOS).
- Hands-on experience building mobile test automation frameworks using Appium; Python preferred, Java or JavaScript also acceptable.
- Proven knowledge and experience in non-functional mobile app testing: performance, load/stress, stability, battery consumption, memory/CPU profiling, network variability, and security.
- Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong software development experience as an SDET, capable of building automation frameworks and tools from scratch beyond test execution.
- Deep expertise in mobile app architectures (native, hybrid, cross-platform) and experience testing REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Experience mentoring or leading QA/automation teams and familiarity with mobile performance profiling tools and mobile security testing practices.
