About This Role
- Lead and scale a data engineering team responsible for enterprise data pipelines, models, and products enabling AI, analytics, BI, and data-driven decision-making.
- Drive and execute Synchrony’s cloud data migration and modernization by delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based data solutions.
- Champion engineering excellence and agile delivery practices while developing and coaching a diverse, high-performing team.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum 12 years IT experience or 14 years IT experience without degree.
- At least 5 years of data engineering experience using public cloud platforms.
- Minimum 7 years experience in large, complex organizations and 9 years leading enterprise-scale data engineering delivery.
- Flexible work hours overlapping EST and IST between 06:00 AM to 11:30 AM EST.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in cloud data engineering, best-in-class data modeling, and data governance.
- Proven track record in multi-year cloud data transformation and migration, particularly with AWS and related technologies.
- Experienced in leading high-visibility, complex technology programs in regulated industries such as financial services or banking.
