About This Role
- Manage and administer Databricks workspaces and Snowflake environments including clusters, warehouses, governance, and access controls across development, test, and production.
- Own and implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for platform configuration, governance, access management, and automate changes via GitOps pipelines ensuring auditability and version control.
- Lead data governance and compliance efforts including Unity Catalog ownership, metadata management, legacy Hive Metastore cleanup, cost optimization, platform reliability, incident management, and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Databricks administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Snowflake administration.
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code for platform and access management.
- Experience with RBAC, IAM, Azure AD/Entra ID integration, multi-cloud (Azure/AWS), and automation via Python or CI/CD pipelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing enterprise-scale data platform governance, especially with Unity Catalog and legacy Hive Metastore migrations.
- Proficient in implementing secure, automated access management and cost optimization using Terraform and GitOps.
- Demonstrated capability in cross-team collaboration with Engineering, Security, and Compliance to maintain platform standards and operational SLAs.
