Conduct proactive threat hunting and optimize security tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR) to enhance detection and mitigation of cyber threats.
Document incidents thoroughly and collaborate with Tier 1 analysts, senior teams, and external stakeholders for advanced investigations and remediation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4-7 years experience in cybersecurity with hands-on incident response, preferably in SOC or Tier 1 analyst role.
Proficient with SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR tools, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and OS (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK) required.
Experienced cybersecurity professional capable of handling complex incident investigation and mitigation in fast-paced SOC environments.
Skilled in mentoring Tier 1 analysts and collaborating cross-functionally including with threat intelligence and IT teams.
Comfortable managing escalation, tool optimization, and integrating threat intelligence into operational security monitoring.
