About This Role
- Design, develop, optimise and support ETL workflows and data pipelines using Ab Initio tools with a focus on performance and production stability.
- Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, scheduling and monitoring of ETL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, support releases and perform root cause analysis.
Minimum Requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in data engineering aligned to a Deputy Manager band role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL development, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and Teradata SQL including performance tuning.
- Basic working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Compute Engine.
- Work Experience Required: 4–8 years in relevant data engineering roles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing large-scale data processing and ETL performance optimisation within hybrid or cloud-enabled data environments.
- Capable of handling production support including incident management, troubleshooting and release support in complex data platforms.
- Experience working collaboratively across operations, infrastructure, and business teams within Agile or similar environments.
