About This Role

Lead technical direction and architecture for large-scale, cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures supporting Disney Experiences platforms.

Own reliability strategies including definition and monitoring of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs; lead incident response and continuous improvement efforts to maximize uptime and performance.

Mentor and guide engineers, oversee automation and DevOps practices, collaborate cross-functionally to ensure secure, scalable, cost-effective platform operations.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 7 years experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related software development with a focus on large-scale distributed cloud systems.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE), Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, NodeJS, Golang, Bash, etc.), UNIX/Linux administration, networking (HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), observability tools and monitoring SLIs/SLOs.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced leader able to set technical direction and drive reliability strategies for complex, mission-critical distributed/cloud platforms.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers within Agile environments focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Strong problem solver with outstanding troubleshooting skills and communication to influence diverse stakeholders and balance performance, reliability, and cost.
