About This Role
- Own technical leadership and reliability strategy for critical Disney Experience platforms across multiple domains including theme parks, resorts, and retail.
- Architect, build, and evolve cloud-native and container-based infrastructure while championing observability, DevOps, and automation to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, lead incident response, and drive continuous improvement initiatives involving capacity planning, cost optimization (FinOps), and cross-team collaboration.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or software development focused on large-scale, distributed, cloud-based systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE), Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps).
- Proficient in scripting/programming (Python, NodeJS, Golang, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Java), UNIX/Linux administration, networking, observability (APM/logging tools), databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Snowflake), and incident management.

- Experienced technical lead comfortable designing and operating large-scale, cloud-native, hybrid infrastructure with strong cross-team stakeholder management.
- Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting and communication skills with ability to mentor and influence without direct authority.
- Proven track record in agile environments delivering reliable, secure, cost-optimized systems at scale with keen understanding of SRE practices and FinOps principles.
