About This Role
- Lead and manage technical delivery of production commerce systems primarily using HCL Commerce and IBM WebSphere Commerce 8.x.
- Own architecture, customization, and back-end integration of complex e-commerce platforms including store flows and business logic.
- Lead Agile engineering teams including full-time and contractor resources with responsibility for story quality, code reviews, and delivery using Atlassian tools.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years professional software engineering, with at least 2 years as a technical lead in commerce or similarly complex systems.
- 7+ years experience with HCL Commerce and/or IBM WebSphere Commerce 8.x (v8 specifically required).
- Proficient in Java development with 7+ years plus 4+ years Spring/Spring MVC and hands-on Spring Boot experience; 3+ years React/Next.js JavaScript front-end experience; Git version control experience; Agile leadership experience with Jira and related Atlassian tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technical leader in enterprise-grade B2B or B2C commerce platforms using WebSphere Commerce and Java stack.
- Strong competence delivering complex, integrated commerce store customizations and backend services with well-practiced Agile leadership and team collaboration.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React/Next.js), headless commerce APIs, and familiarity with ecosystem tools like MuleSoft, Solr, Redis is a strong plus.
