Mid-level metro production-support role; payments and Control-M specialization moderately limit applicant pool.
Payments domain, PCI‑DSS, and Control‑M expertise make industry experience highly specific and less transferable.
Multiple mandatory technical skills and explicit 5–6 year requirement create high shortlisting rigidity.
Provide L2 operational support for payments, reporting, batch processing, and file-based data flows during Australia hours.
Manage and investigate production incidents using monitoring tools, SQL, Windows Server operations, and batch job orchestration with Control-M.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain stable payment-related systems, ensure incident governance, and support operational continuity.
5–6 years of production support or operations engineering experience, preferably in payments or financial services.
Proficient in Windows Server operations including services, scheduled tasks, event logs, Command Prompt, and PowerShell scripting.
Strong experience with Control-M or equivalent job scheduler, SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL, and monitoring tools such as Splunk or SCOM.
Must be available to work offshore during Australia hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
Experienced with payment domain knowledge including Visa, Mastercard, eftpos acquiring flows, interchange, and settlement.
Able to conduct structured incident investigations and reviews using Five Whys, timeline reconstruction, and blameless post-mortems in an ITIL/ITSM environment.
Demonstrates ability to support automation, operational improvements, and secure file-processing practices within a complex production payments ecosystem.
