About This Role
- Design and develop core macOS networking and security components using Network Extensions and System Extensions.
- Take ownership of feature development end-to-end, including technical design, production responsibility, and debugging customer issues.
- Collaborate across teams, research and proof new technologies, and review/train junior developers.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in software development with a Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience with C++ development and 5+ years development on macOS using Swift.
- 3+ years experience with networking protocols including IP, TCP/UDP, routing tables, VPN packet encapsulation, DNS configuration, and IPv4/IPv6.
- 2+ years experience with macOS network extensions and proxies; 3+ years in sockets programming and multithreading/asynchronous tasks.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in architecture and design of distributed services, with strong understanding of design patterns.
- Ability to own features from design through production and handle complex problem-solving in networking/security contexts.
- Experienced collaborator comfortable mentoring junior engineers and working across cross-functional teams.
