About This Role
- Define and execute test plans and scripts to validate firmware for Enterprise and Datacenter NVMe SSD products.
- Collaborate closely with firmware development teams throughout the product lifecycle to identify defects, validate fixes using grey/whitebox tests, and communicate project status and issues.
- Drive issue resolution by coordinating with cross-functional product development teams and document test results comprehensively.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in SSD firmware validation.
- Proficiency in test plan design, NVMe/PCIe protocol understanding, and hands-on experience with debugging tools like Lecroy/JDSU analyzers.
- Experience with Linux OS debugging and Python coding.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep expertise in one or more firmware areas: Front End, Back End/Media management, FTL, or Security for SSD products.
- Strong strategic and operational skills in firmware validation, including test automation integration and use of whitebox and greybox testing methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong planning, tracking, and cross-team collaboration skills in complex R&D environment.
