Tier-1 employer but highly specialized SSD validation skills limit applicant competition.
Role demands SSD firmware, NVMe/PCIe, and storage-validation expertise, making cross-industry fit low.
Explicit 6-12 years requirement plus niche NVMe/PCIe, protocol analyzer, and automation skills enforce strict filters.
Define and lead validation strategies including test plans, test cases, and automation for NAND-based SSD firmware across multiple validation domains (functional, system, performance, reliability, interoperability, customer qualification).
Drive validation efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle collaborating across firmware, hardware, systems, product engineering, and hyperscale customers to improve product quality and reduce qualification cycle times.
Leverage AI and automation technologies to enhance validation productivity, quality, and time-to-market while mentoring engineers on AI adoption and best validation practices.
6-12 years of experience in Embedded Firmware, Storage Systems, or SSD Validation Engineering; 4+ years preferred specifically in SSD Firmware Validation.
Strong expertise in SSD architecture, NAND Flash, NVMe, PCIe, OCP Cloud SSD, and related storage protocols.
Experience developing and executing comprehensive automated validation plans using tools like Medusa, SanBlaze, OakGate, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experienced technical leader capable of driving complex validation programs and collaborating cross-functionally with hyperscale/cloud customers and engineering teams.
Strong background in applying AI/ML techniques, generative AI tools, and data-driven automation to engineering processes to increase efficiency and quality.
Pragmatic problem solver with strong debugging skills across Linux and Windows environments, well-versed in storage platform architectures, and able to deliver measurable improvements in validation throughput and product quality.
