About This Role
- Develop, secure, and ship software integrations using Ellucian REST APIs across student, HR, and finance platforms, focusing on functional requirements and API catalog navigation.
- Build React-based Experience Cards and automate workflows using Ellucian tooling, contributing to AI-assisted delivery automation within the team.
- Participate in client-facing sessions including requirement walkthroughs, demos, and enablement while independently translating specifications into production code.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong expertise in REST API design, consumption, security (OAuth 2.0, tokens, scopes), and integration lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in JavaScript with Node.js and React; familiarity with HTML5, CSS, AWS S3, SFTP, and Git workflows.
- English proficiency for direct communication with US-based clients; flexible work hours with 3–4 hours daily overlap with US Eastern morning.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and securing deep API integrations beyond basic consumption, comfortable deciphering business needs into API usage and secure credential management.
- Able to operate autonomously translating written specs into code with minimal supervision while contributing to process/tool improvement, including AI-assisted development.
- Comfortable in a startup/CoE founding-team environment setting team engineering practices and engaging directly with US clients in higher education technology contexts.
