About This Role
- Own the technical direction and architecture of the data platform across Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Python.
- Design, develop, and operationalize scalable, performant data pipelines with automated data quality checks and monitoring.
- Drive engineering standards and mentor engineers across teams, influencing data platform decisions organization-wide.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in Data/ETL Engineering and Architecture with at least 3 years in senior/lead roles showing broad technical influence.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery and related managed services like Dataflow, Dataproc.
- Proficient in SQL, DBT, Python (Apache Airflow, Composer), and experienced with ETL tools (Talend, Fivetran, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior-level engineer with a proven record scaling cloud data platforms serving multiple teams at enterprise scale.
- Strong expertise in dimensional modeling, data governance, observability, and implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workloads.
- Able to influence cross-team technical decisions without direct authority and mentor engineers towards promotions.
