About This Role
- Design and govern end-to-end Linux and open-source infrastructure architecture across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Own standards, security, scalability, and compliance for Linux OS and open-source infrastructure, collaborating closely with an outsourced IT operations provider.
- Lead evaluation, integration, and roadmap for open-source tools/platforms including automation, containerization, licensing compliance, and performance engineering.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years experience in Linux administration or architecture, including technical lead roles.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep expertise in at least one enterprise Linux distribution (e.g. RHEL, SUSE) plus working knowledge of others.
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and hybrid cloud Linux workloads (Azure).

- Experienced architect with a strong focus on governance and technical leadership rather than hands-on operations, working alongside outsourcing partners.
- Broad open-source infrastructure knowledge beyond OS including databases, automation, monitoring, and networking in enterprise environments.
- Ability to translate complex technical architecture into business-aligned strategies and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
