About This Role
- Build, test, and support scalable backend APIs and services within Mastercard’s Open Finance Europe – Connectivity team.
- Collaborate on design and implementation of reliable, maintainable software solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, Azure, and AWS.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues; contribute to automation, observability, and CI/CD improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-4 years professional experience in software engineering, specifically backend application and API development.
- Proficient with modern frameworks like C#/.NET and familiar with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and distributed systems concepts.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and secure coding principles.
- Work Experience Required: 2-4 years in relevant software engineering roles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience or familiarity with payments, banking, or Open Banking (PSD2) environments is a plus, indicating domain fit.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams involving Product, Security, and Architecture specialists.
- Practical knowledge or exposure to microservices architectures, observability, production support, and AI-assisted development tools increases competitiveness.
