Metro mid-level role with common 'Engineer' title but niche embedded protocol requirements create medium competition.
Embedded automotive protocols and device validation demand industry-specific expertise, reducing cross-industry transferability.
Explicit 3-5 years, mandatory Python/PyTest and automotive protocol expertise raise shortlisting strictness.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks specifically for embedded and IoT devices using Python and PyTest.
Create, execute, and integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines to validate device functionality, performance, and reliability.
Analyze test results, debug issues, collaborate with development teams, and develop reusable test libraries and utilities to improve efficiency.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, IoT, or related fields.
3-5 years of experience in test automation, device validation, embedded systems testing, or automotive/IoT automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Python programming and proficiency in PyTest framework.
Experience with automotive diagnostics protocols (UDS ISO 14229, CAN/CAN FD, ISO-TP) and serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
Experienced in developing automation frameworks for embedded systems, IoT devices, or networking products, indicating a strong domain and technical fit.
Comfortable working with version control (Git) and integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines, showing capability in modern software development practices.
Knowledgeable about network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, SSH, REST APIs) and test automation via serial consoles, CLIs, device APIs, plus familiarity with Docker, virtualization, or cloud infrastructure.
