About This Role
- Lead design, architecture, and end-to-end deployment of globally scalable storage features for Android clients and backend services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Google One, Google Photos, and OEM ecosystem to launch impactful products.
- Accelerate development using agentic AI coding frameworks and mentor junior engineers while maintaining high technical standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years software development experience including data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years experience with Android full-stack development and 1 year in software design and architecture.
- Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products (3 years).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong background in Android application development (Kotlin/Java) and backend API design for large-scale applications.
- Experience working at the intersection of mobile-client and backend services with cross-functional global teams.
- Comfortable adopting and advocating modern AI-assisted development workflows to improve engineering velocity and code quality.
