About This Role
- Ensure legal compliance with global import/export regulations and manage related administrative controls, including licensing and shipment documentation.
- Review and classify parts and materials based on tariff classifications and harmonized tariff schedules across US, Europe, and Asia regions.
- Coordinate with internal teams, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and foreign trade groups to manage compliance audits, sanctioned party screening, and trade process validations.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HTS/ECCN product classification, export/import auditing, sanctioned party screening, and global trade compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Certification in global trade, trade compliance, or logistics.
- Experience with US export compliance and knowledge of US government regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Free Trade Zones, and import/export customs processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in semiconductor or comparable industries with familiarity in Bills of Materials, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Proficient with SAP-GTS (Global Trade Service) and advanced MS Excel; knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI is preferred.
- Able to manage technical classification and compliance in a fast-paced, global trade environment with periodic shift work flexibility.
