About This Role
- Design, architect, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable AI backend services and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product architecture and consistently deliver end-to-end features including robust RESTful APIs and efficient data models.
- Mentor engineers, drive technical planning, troubleshoot production issues, and influence evolution of AI capabilities and product roadmap at Teradata.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- 15+ years of experience in backend services, distributed systems, or data platform development.
- Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python and hands-on experience with RESTful API development, SQL/NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and public cloud platforms.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; experience with AI productivity tools like GitHub Copilot.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building large-scale distributed AI systems and backend services with a focus on design and architecture.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and influencing architecture and engineering best practices in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity or experience with AI/ML technologies including agentic AI, LLMs, and messaging systems like Kafka preferred.
