Metro mid-level role at a known semiconductor brand with a generic 'Software Engineer' title increases competition.
Specialized kernel, ISA, and hardware/software co-design skills limit transferability across industries.
Requires mandatory low-level kernel experience, C/C++, assembly, ISA and performance optimization, causing strict shortlisting.
Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of AI operator modules/kernels on custom ISA-based edge AI processors.
Develop and optimize high-performance kernel-level code in C/C++ and assembly to maximize AI/ML operator efficiency and reduce latency.
Collaborate with hardware architects, compiler teams, and application developers to integrate kernel components and enhance AI operator performance.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field; Ph.D. is a strong plus.
3+ years of experience in kernel or low-level systems software development with production-quality contributions.
Proficiency in system-level programming using C/C++ and assembly language targeting specialized ISA implementations.
Experience with kernel debugging and profiling tools (e.g., GDB, Gprof) and knowledge of OS internals, memory management, and performance tuning.
Experienced in AI/ML operator development or specialized compiler optimizations with understanding of hardware/software co-design.
Able to analyze and optimize complex software performance on custom edge AI hardware architectures.
Familiar with advanced debugging, profiling, and iterative optimization methodologies in high-performance computing contexts.
