About This Role
- Design, configure, and deploy Ignition-based OT Data Operations gateways and associated infrastructure at manufacturing sites.
- Implement and standardize sensor-to-signal workflows from PLC/SCADA to MES and analytics platforms ensuring ISA-95-aligned data models.
- Collaborate with engineering and IT teams for integration with MES (TrakSYS), enterprise systems (SAP), and manage monitoring, security, and scaling of OT data environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or IT Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years total experience including 5+ years in OT Data Operations on Ignition platform.
- Strong expertise in OT/industrial automation engineering: PLC/SCADA, historians, industrial networks, and manufacturing data integration/MES implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (gateway configuration, MQTT, security, scripting); knowledge of ISA-95 data models; experience with PLC/SCADA connectivity protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus), scripting (Python, SQL, Jython); experience in regulated or controlled environments like food manufacturing or pharma.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced Controls or Manufacturing Systems Engineer with deep operational expertise on Ignition-based OT Data environments and MES integration.
- Familiarity with industrial data and integration architectures, especially ISA-95 modeling and Unified Namespace concepts.
- Skilled collaborator able to work cross-functionally with MES engineers, IT integration teams, and site engineering for deployment and scaling in complex manufacturing settings.
