About This Role
- Design, build, and ship complex backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and AI/ML-powered features with production-quality code.
- Own technical design for scalability, performance, and security while leading hands-on development and reliability for the systems you build.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product and clinical teams to deliver compliant, scalable healthcare software adhering to regulations like HIPAA and GDPR.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with proven ability to build and ship production systems.
- Proficient in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) with daily hands-on coding.
- Experience building and operationalizing AI/ML-powered product features and maintaining production systems (CI/CD, monitoring, incident response).
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in scalable distributed systems, backend service design, and integrating AI/ML into production products.
- Comfortable working deeply in code at a senior technical leadership level without stepping away from hands-on development.
- Familiar with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) or capable of quickly adapting to regulated domains.
